Description - Description: In 2018, the Folketing passed a law on trials with a social welfare card, which came into force on 1 January 2019, after which vulnerable citizens can be searched for a social welfare card. Social welfare card is now made permanent cf. l aw 616 of 11 June 2024, with entry into force 1 January 2025. The authority for the law is the Ministry of Social Affairs and Housing.The purpose of the social welfare card is that citizens with special social problems have the right to receive a social welfare card.
