Description - Description: The 60th Contracting Squadron at Travis Air Force Base, CA 94535 has awarded a sole-source contract to Boston Scientific Corp. under the authority of FAR 6.305. The contract is for the FDA-approved TheraSphere product, a liver cancer the rapy consisting of small glass microspheres containing radioactive Yttrium-90 (Y90). TheraSphere is the only FDA-approved treatment for primary liver cancer and is indicated for use in radiation treatment or as a neoadjuvant to surgery or transplantation in patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
