Description | Scope of Work Organizing Co-branded event on adolescent health and well-being in collaboration with MoHFW and PMNCH Organizational Background EngenderHealth envisions a gender-equal world where all people achieve their sexual and reproductive health and rights. We believe this is essential for ensuring all people can achieve their full potentials. To achieve this vision, we implement high-quality, gender-equitable programs that advance sexual and reproductive health and rights. Background Summary India is hosting G-20 presidency during 2023 and main G-20 summit will be held in November 2023. G-20 has 8 sub-tracks and various ministries are organizing consultations, side events and co-branded events to provide inputs to the final G-20 communique which will be released during the main G-20 summit. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is also actively working to provide inputs on health and well-being sub-track but also aiming to provide inputs on other sub-tracks. MoHFW in partnership with PMNCH will be organizing a co-branded event focusing on health and well-being of adolescents and young people and the theme of the event is “Health of Youth; Wealth of Nation”. EngenderHealth, under the guidance of UNFPA, will be supporting the ministry in organizing the event especially by providing technical inputs through in-house experts and supporting various tasks through the suitable agency. EngenderHealth is looking for an agency which has extensive experience of working on adolescent health and well-being. The agency is expected to have direct work with the adolescent and young people and engaged young people in program formulations, implementation and monitoring. The agency should have experience of organizing interactive workshops and consultations with adolescents and young people to capture their needs and aspirations for policy advocacy. The agency should have in-house expertise to product high quality documentation for various activities organized for co-branded event. The agency should have presence in various states directly or through its network partners to undertake activities mentioned under scope of work of the assignment. Scope of work 1. Identification of young people across all states of India and holding regional consultations: Identify young people across the states and conduct regional consultations with them on sub-themes for the event. The selection to be youth inclusive of all ages, experiences, cultural diversities so to help bring cumulative experiences of working around young people to the table. The participants should have diverse backgrounds on sub-themes identified for the townhall session during the cobranded event. Organise atleast 5 regional youth consultation with 30- 35 youth participants especially in UNFPA supported states. The agency is expected to identify participants for consultation in collaboration with government, UNFPA, EngenderHealth and other stakeholders. The agency will completely design the structure and format for consultations with adolescents and young people at regional level in collaboration with the ministry, UNFPA and EngenderHealth . The agency will be responsible for making arrangements for venue, food and travel arrangement for the adolescents and young people’s and their guardian’s participation in the regional consultation. The agency will also document the proceedings of the regional consultation and share for preparing the report. The agency will also collate the inputs of adolescents and youth consultations supported by other donors in remaining regions to develop health need charter to be presented during the townhall by the young people. 2. Identification of young people from G-20 countries: Coordinate with ministry and donor agencies for identification of youth champions from some of the G-20 countries Identify international young people and submit list of international participants along with necessary details with the protocol committee with ministry, for invitation and necessary visa documents. Support in organizing the virtual consultation with young people from G-20 countries Coordinate and prepare selected youths from G-20 countries for the event and townhall interaction. Prepare a brief report of virtual consultation capturing details of participants, needs and priorities emerging for health and well-being along with recommendations and expectations of young people from government and other stakeholders. 3. Organising the townhall at national level: Coordinate with the MoHFW, state governments and development partners for identification of 80 -100 young people as key participants of co-branded event especially townhall session with policy makers from across the country and government programs. The agency will facilitate finalization of the names of the young people; 65 out station participants and 35 Delhi NCR youth based on the criterial developed in consultation with the ministry and other stakeholders. Finalise the travel plan for the identified youth participants from the country and share the list with the event management agency hired by UNFPA for necessary bookings. Design the townhall in terms of discussion points, participants and format for consultations with adolescents and young people at regional level, under guidance of MoHFW, UNFPA and EngenderHealth. Also support in preparing detailed design for the townhall and requirement for the townhall session with young people. Support in developing |
