Description - Description: The Center of Drug Absorption and Transport (C_DAT) at the University Medical Center Greifswald (UMG) plans to purchase a spinning disc super-resolution confocal microscope for subcellular live cell imaging. This microscope system will b e used to carry out high-resolution, ultrafast measurements (up to 200 images per second) in order to examine dynamic processes in living cells, e.g. calcium transients and other ion transport mechanisms, as well as subcellular structures in detail with as little phototoxicity as possible, which also allows long-term experiments, using fluorescent dyes and FRET, among other things.
