Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Registry at the Ministry of Education and Child Care (the Ministry) is responsible for the certification of ECEs in BC including assessing proposed post-secondary ECE programs for recognition. This involves ensuring that post-secondary institutions apply the BC Child Care Sector Occupational Competencies (ECE Competencies) to guide the development of ECE program curriculum and learning outcomes for ECEs on the pathway to certification.
