Description - Description: Suicide is a global mental health issue. Every year 726 000 people take their own life and there are many more people who make suicide attempts. Suicide is the third leading cause of death among 15–29-year-olds. In 2019, WHO reported a rate of 4.9% (per 100,000) of suicide cases in Cambodia. Recent scientific evidence indicate that suicide can be successfully prevented with multi-disciplinary efforts from the local government, non-governmental organization, and communities.
