Description - Description: The sensors that RWS uses for its own collection are included in the Corporate Instrument File (CIB), part of Fixed Measurement Networks. The CIB lends the sensors to users, in particular to the Fixed Measurement Networks and Mobile Meas urement departments of RWS-CIV and to a limited extent to other RWS components. Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (Vertical ADCPs) are one of the sensor types that are included in the CIB. This sensor is used to measure current velocity and direction, both by Mobile Measurement and by Fixed Measurement Networks. The current Vertical ADCPs are End-of-life and need to be replaced.
