Description - Description: The ASL of Bari, based on specific prescriptions, needs to acquire sterile disposable devices for the treatment of endotoxin-mediated refractory septic shock. In fact, it is a cartridge for extracorporeal hemoperfusion therapy, made up o f polystyrene fibers linked to Polymyxin B (an antibiotic belonging to the polypeptide class) capable of binding the endotoxin produced by Gram-negative germs responsible for septic shock. These devices are to be allocated to the Anesthesia-Resuscitation Units of the ASL BA.
