Description - Description: The South energy site is located directly on the middle ring in the Sendling district. Electricity has been generated here since 1899 and district heating on a large scale since 1969.The South energy site comprises two gas and steam turb ine plants, each of which is operated in combined heat and power. Natural gas is used as fuel in all three plants. In addition to the two combined heat and power plants, the new geothermal plant with heat integration station was put into operation at the South energy site towards the end of 2020. In addition, the GuD1neu and the district cooling plant (FKZ) are currently under construction. Completion of the plants is planned for the coming years
