The building dates from 1983 and needed modernization of installations and interior as well as a new entrance and welcome area in order to accommodate a modern cultural audience. Through generous donations and great local and national support, the Client has been given the opportunity to rebuild and expand the post office building into a new, modern museum building that can form a framework for changing exhibitions and cultural projects, and be a dynamic, vibrant gathering point for the local area and visitors.
