Description - Description: The Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP) is the Australian Government’s longest running and largest settlement program. It provides English language tuition to eligible migrants and humanitarian entrants to help them learn English lang uage and settlement skills to increase their social and economic participation in Australia. Participation in the AMEP is voluntary. The AMEP is administered and funded by the Department and legislated under the Immigration (Education) Act 1971 (the Act).
