Description - Description: The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for the Mary to Bay Rail Trail State Controlled Road Crossing Assessments. The Mary to Bay Rail Trail follows the alignment of the old Pialba to Colton rail corridor. It's an operating rail trail that is currently managed by Fraser Coast Regional Council between Pialba and Takura and the Fraser Coast Bicycle User Group, who licence from Takura to the commencement of the Colton Coal mining lease. The trail has two different surfaces, a sealed section within Hervey Bay referred to as the Mobility corridor and a gravel section from Piggford Lane Walligan to the Colton Coal mining lease.
