TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR DEVELOPMENT OF “MOTHER’S APPLICATION” AND INTEGRATED IT WITH IeDA (INEGRATED e- DIAGNOSTIC APPROACH) DELEGATION: - Tdh Foundation, India Delegation Office PROJECT: - Development of “Mother’s Application” and integrating it with the IeDA Application. PROGRAM: - Health 1. About Terre des hommes Terre des hommes (Tdh) is a leading Swiss child relief non-profit organization with headquarter in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Foundation has been helping over three million children and their families in need for over 50 years, defending their rights regardless of their race, creed, or political affiliation. Tdh’s mission is to improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable children by direct support, advocacy, promoting child participation for the respect of their rights, strengthening communities and institutions to better respond to children’ needs. In over 30 countries, Tdh protects children against exploitation and violence, improves children’s and their mother’s health and provides emergency psychological and material support in humanitarian crises. Tdh Foundation in India has been registered since 2008 as a Liaison Office and it has provided technical guidance and support to government structures and civil society organizations to defend and promote children’s rights. Tdh’s main programme priorities in India are Unsafe Migration, Maternal and Child health, WASH and Emergency response. Tdh’s office in India is in Kolkata; and project interventions currently cover the states of Jharkhand and West Bengal. In 2021, through projects and together with local NGO partners, Tdh has reached more than 179,407 beneficiaries, including vulnerable children and their families 2. About the Project The IeDA application comprises of 3 modules; namely – eIMNCI, Supportive Supervision and Help Desk. While the eIMNCI module is used by the Healthcare Workers – viz. Medical Officers (MO), Auxiliary Nurse and Midwifes (ANMs) and Community Health Officers (CHOs) for classification and treatment of children under 5 as per the IMNCI guidelines, the Supportive Supervision Module is used by the Project Management and NHM Teams for continuous monitoring of the performance of the healthcare workers and of the facilities. The help-desk module is for providing support to the users. The application is developed on the CommCare opensource platform. The eIMNCI module helps in registration, classification, identification of treatment, follow-up, referral of sick children. It also captures the immunization status of a child and prompts the healthcare worker on vaccination becoming due for a child registered under IeDA. The “Mother’s Application” envisaged, will be provide an interface to the mothers and caregivers on progress of health indicators for their child. Such as record of the previous consultations of their child using the IeDA application, child’s immunization record and reminder for due dates, nutrition status etc. 3. Scope of Work for the Mother’s Application Develop and host the Mother’s Application integrated with IeDA with maintenance support. The agency is required to develop the technology platform for the “Mother’s Application” for the Mother’s and caregivers to track and monitor the progress of their child on various health indicators and also view the consultation history of the child using the IeDA application. The Mother’s Application will also have the feature to read out the counselling instruction related to the child’s classifications. The intended “Mother’s Application” is to integrate with the IeDA which is built on the opensource CommCare platform. The application will pull the child data from the IeDA and shared it with mother in the form of consultation history, treatment plan, nutritional status, immunization record, follow-up reminders etc. Key Features of “Mother’s Application User Access: This Mother’s Application will be accessed by the mother of the children registered in the eIMNCI module of the IeDA application. The mother will be able to access the data related to her child only. The mother account will get linked to the child data in eIMNCI module of IeDA application through multiple identifiers like Phone number, Name of child, name of mother, date of birth, village etc. Creation of User Account: A mother / caregiver will be able to create the user account in the name of the child with same credentials as given while registering the in IeDA application for eIMNCI consultation. Prior to creating the account Mother will give the consent to fetch the child health record. Mother will also voluntarily fill the data related to demographic and socio-economic details about her family at the time of registration. Real time Data- Integration with IeDA to ensure availability of consultation history of the child to the mothers including treatment plan, nutritional status, immunization schedule and follow-up reminders. Language of the Application: The application will be in English and Hindi with possibility of adding languages later. Read Aloud Feature: The application will have the feature to read aloud for each page/ screen, notifications, follow-up reminders and messages. Data viewing and Notifications: Mother will be able to view the child consultation history, nutritional status , immunization status, treatment plans and counselling . She will receive notifications about latest treatment plan and counselling. She will receive periodic reminders about next consultation due date , immunization due date. Push Feature: Based on the age of the child , the family size of the mother and other related factors, the application will have the feature to push messages at different intervals specific to the family and childsuch as on nutrition, family planning a |
