The area has about 40% of Finland's wind power production. Half of the planned wind turbines are under construction in Northern Ostrobothnia. There are more than 800 wind turbines in the project area, dozens of wind farms are under construction and in the permitting process.The project responds to the labor needs of wind power companies and electricity network construction in the region by assisting companies in recruiting and training suitable people.
