Description - Description: The Coast Guard Academy (USCGA) makes internships available to cadets for the purpose of research,education, and professional development. Previously the Great Lakes Center of Expertise (GLCOE), in cooperation with a local university, ha s collaborated with the USCGA to advance this important effort. The cadets are able to either continue their capstone research or choose from GLCOE pre-approved projects related to the GLCOE mandate.The scope of the internship support is to provide technical expertise as a scientific advisor to the cadets,while also advancing research needs in the Great Lakes region.
