Description - Description: INTRODUCTION The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Applied Physical Electronics, LC (APELC) (CAGE: 1DUK4) for the modification of the Vertical Electro magnetic Pulse Simulator (VEMPS). GENERAL INFORMATION The present day VEMPS pulse generator and control system was developed and fielded between November 2014 and September 2016. The current VEMPS system is not capable of reaching test standards at its current capability. NAWCAD requires the VEMPS system to be modernized to meet new testing standards.
